Anaheim Hills doctor, Dr G Rheinschild faces possible discipline and even a reprimand of his medical practice following complaints that he botched up 3 penis enlargement surgeries between 2003 and 2005.
According to the California Medical Board, Rheinschild, aged 75, is believed to have caused gross negligence in his treatment of these 3 men and of continuing to practice despite showing signs of visual impairment.
Divulging his case, Rheinschild’s lead attorney claims that these complaints against his eye sight are misleading, as a Judge has already proclaimed that he is not visually impaired. Continuing, his attorney says these allegations are due to competitors seeking to corrupt his medical reputation, and nothing more.
Is their complaint just?
Penile enhancement surgeries are renowned for holding an element of danger, number one being their reputation for resulting in deformity and penile shortening, and it could be agreed that this is what happened here.
As Rheinschild’s attorney explained: ‘…like any surgical procedure, there is always somebody who doesn’t like the results. That is part of the risk from this kind of surgery.’
Penile enlargement surgery is not acknowledged as being risk free or 100% effective by the Medical Association, and as a consequence Rheinschild the New York Times are publishing articles stating that his penile enhancement procedures often ended negatively.
In the accounts given by the American Urological Association, the 3 clients claimed the following.
Client One: Patient sought out Dr Rheinschild for penile enlargement surgery in early 2003, and at the time proclaimed his fears that Dr Rheinschild seemed a bit struggling with his memory. Displayed by his practice staff as being ‘eccentric’ but the best surgeon in his niche, the patient agreed to the surgery only to later experience penile deformity and crookedness. Despite begging for further surgery, Rheinschild declined to help.
Accusation No.2: Twenty One year old customer asks for Dr Rheinschild in early 2005. In his witness statemen the claims that Dr Rheinschild’s hand mostly quivered and his memory was forgetful. Five weeks after the expensive surgery, the graft applied to his penis burst open and his penis began to shorten and curve. After continually seeking out a appointment with him – who refused – the client went elsewhere to acquire corrective surgery on his penis shaft.
Accusation No. 3: Following penis enhancement surgery implemented by Dr Rheinschild, patient no. 3 complained of pain and a raised mark after skin was taken surgically removed from his lower back to build the graft. As well as this pain the claimant noticed that his penis shaft was becoming discoloured. Despite trying to call him continually, his messages were never returned until patient three threatened to take him to the Medical Board.
Will Rheinschild be prosecuted?
Since these reported cases, Dr Rheinschildis reported to have implemented hundreds of surgeries without complaint and as a result, a Judge has ruled against an immediate suspension of his licence.
Further disciplinary proceedings are scheduled to occur in January 2010.
